The TBI Model System of TIRR is in its 13th year of funding. TIRR is one of the four original TBI Model Systems still in operation. This multi-center national study is done in collaboration with 16 other NIDRR-funded Model Systems across the United States. This is a longitudinal study of the natural history of TBI for persons who have received state-of-the-art rehabilitation following their injury. All centers contribute medical, neuropsychological, psychosocial, and functional outcome data to the national database at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation.
