This TIRR Field-Initiated Grant is in its first year of funding. The purpose of this study is to develop a clinically feasible and meaningful way to assess social communication abilities following TBI. This information can be used to develop empirically-driven interventions to improve social skills. The study involves three projects:
- Assessment of Social Communication Skills for Persons with TBI Utilizing Instruments Developed with Other Clinical Populations
- Relationship of Social Communication Abilities to Functional Outcome following TBI
- Relationship between Attention/Executive Functioning Deficits and Social Communication Abilities in Person with TBI
